He challenged my thoughts and opinions on a great many issues. Some things I agreed with, some I vehemently opposed. Truth is beautiful--symmetric--appealing--without cognitive dissonance. This is not a book that will pander to you by telling you what you already believe. It is nothing like Rush Limbaugh or Rachel Maddow. In contrast, Doug Casey will prompt you to think more clearly by shining a very bright light on so many distortions of reality that we have let slide by. Indeed Doug Casey is perhaps the brightest light shining, fighting to expose what is lying in those shadows.

Doug is a Libertarian with some very interesting takes on these subjects, and many others. I like this book so much that I re-read chapters when I get time.
