FBReader is an e-book reader. FBReader supports several free e-book formats: html, chm, plucker, palmdoc, oeb, rtf, and fb2. It also supports direct reading from tar, zip, gzip, and bzip2 archives. FBReader keeps the last open book and the last read positions for all opened books between runs.

Moving on to try other apps till I find one that works the way I want it to. Configured the path to my hard disk EBook folder. Program immediately crashed upon opening epub file. All that great formatting is not transferred when you Select and Ctrl-C - too bad, but won't matter to most users. It would be nice to have a two-page view. No way to highlight or annotate text. I haven't experienced any thing other than good from using this software. I've tried other readers too, and so far FBReader is tops. I like the looks, it's not a cheap looking software, I believe care has gone into its development. I also like the fact that it loads quickly and doesn't use a lot of resources.
